Interceptor: one of Mode 2 FPV's earliest frames
Described by its maker as a proverbial tank, among the company's first designs. No specification for it survives, and this page says exactly that and no more.
The Interceptor is one of the least documented frames in Mode 2 FPV's catalogue. No shop page for it survives in the Wayback Machine's captures of mode-2.com, and the keyword export that hints at other undocumented products does not fill the gap either. What survives is a single quoted description, from the company's own open source frames page.
What Mode 2 FPV said
"One of our very first concepts, this frame was made to be a proverbial tank. It proved to be basically indestructible." That is Mode 2 FPV's own description of the Interceptor, quoted directly. It places the frame among the company's earliest designs, predating most of the rest of the documented line. The durability claim is the company's own characterisation of its own product, not an independently verified test result, and it is presented here as a quotation for that reason rather than as a specification.
What this page cannot say
No weight, wheelbase, size class, material thickness, price or release date for the Interceptor survives anywhere in the record this archive was built from. There is no photo description, no motor compatibility and no indication of which prop size it was built around. If you are trying to identify an Interceptor frame from a photo or a build log, this page has nothing to compare it against beyond the name and the quotation above.
It was released, like the rest of the company's frame line, under the GNU GPL v3, with source named as living on GitHub and Thingiverse. No GitHub repository URL was captured. The one link that can be pointed at with any confidence is Brian Welch's Thingiverse profile, thingiverse.com/mode2fpv/designs, though whether Interceptor files specifically are listed there is not something this page can confirm.
