The person named above is the controller within the meaning of Article 4(7) of the General Data Protection Regulation. No data protection officer has been appointed, because the conditions in Article 37 GDPR are not met here.

What this site does not do

That is the shortest way to say the important part. This is a static website with no database and no server-side logic. Specifically:

Because there is nothing to consent to, there is no cookie banner. A banner asking whether it may ask would be pure ceremony here.

Server log files at the host

When you request a page, your browser sends technically necessary data to the hosting provider's server. That usually includes the IP address, the date and time of the request, the address requested, the status code returned, the amount of data transferred, and browser and operating system identifiers. This arises on every website request and cannot be avoided technically.

The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. The legitimate interest is delivering the site, keeping it stable and defending against attacks. We do not analyse this data, do not combine it with other data, and build no profiles from it.

The site is hosted by Cloudflare, Inc. Cloudflare processes the data described above as a processor under Article 28 GDPR on the basis of a data processing agreement. Retention period and exact scope follow that provider's terms.

The calculators on this site

The four calculators run entirely in your browser. What you type is not sent anywhere, not stored, and does not leave your device. There is no server receiving the inputs, and reloading the page discards everything. The forms themselves transmit nothing.

Contact by email

If you write to us, we process your email address and the content of your message in order to answer it. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, or Article 6(1)(b) for contract-related enquiries. We delete the message once it has been dealt with, unless a statutory retention obligation applies.

External links

This site links to external services, among them EUR-Lex, EASA, the German Luftfahrt-Bundesamt, dipul.de and Thingiverse. Following such a link leaves this site, and from that point the privacy policy of the respective provider applies. Nothing is transmitted to those providers beforehand, because none of their content is embedded here.

Affiliate links

There are none at present. This section exists so that the position is stated rather than left open: should affiliate links be added later, each one will be marked on the page it sits on, and this policy will be updated with a new check date.

Even then, nothing about the processing described above would change while you are reading. An affiliate link is an ordinary link that becomes active only when you click it and forwards you to the provider, who may then set identifiers of their own under their own privacy policy. As long as you do not click, nothing is transmitted, and there would still be no tracking on this site.
