Coming October 1st – The Ghost Race Frame by The RCAddict and Mode 2
When it comes to racing in any sport, the name of the game is efficiency; how to accomplish the most with the least. This was the approach taken when designing the Ghost, to use the least possible material, to build the lightest and strongest frame possible.
After 200 hours of design work, computer simulations, and finally field testing, we have found the perfect balance. Weighing in at just 55g and having a minimalist stretch X profile for less air resistance this frame will scream like a banshee. However, with all that speed comes the risk of damage, so we made the Ghost from all 3k matte finish carbon fiber and the 3mm bottom plate and 4mm arms will withstand most impacts.
Many other notable race frame designs suffer from arms that come loose and move over time and after ground, or gate strikes. The Ghost has 2 aluminum locknuts on each arm to assure they stay secured, but as additional insurance the arms butt snugly against each other, so the force of four nuts hold each arm in place. The assembly is all held tightly in place by titanium screws.
